Are you curious about different ways of financing a startup? Would you like to gain insights into this world from an expert?

Then don’t miss this session!

Aelbrecht Van Damme daily guides entrepreneurs in their search for growth financing. In this session, he will provide insights into all possible funding options —from crowdfunding and growth funding to business angels and venture capital— and this through very practical examples. Together, we’ll explore the pros and cons of each option and discover which one best fits the growth stage of a company, all in a fun, interactive style !

Next, we will hear the story of MyGrid, a Belgian startup that launched the first plug & play home battery! Founder Jan Wellens will tell us more about their startup journey, which began a few years ago with securing a Vlaio grant. This was followed by a successful Kickstarter campaign and later they raised a larger amount through the Spreds platform (equity-based crowdfunding). Jan will share his experiences and insights, the pros and cons of each choice, as well as some do's and don'ts!

Bart Van der Heijden (Collectief Verlof) also shares his insights on how he, as a theatre maker, finds and manages financial resources to develop new performances. Bart enthusiastically talks about his successful experiences and valuable learning moments as a creative theatre maker from Leuven.

Afterwards you can discuss financing options for starters with, among others, ING (bank), Bolero (crowdfunding), PMV (starter loans), etc.
